Some couples simply make you feel like you’ve known them forever, and that’s exactly how it was with Emma and Paul. I first met them during their engagement session on their beautiful countryside property, and from the moment we started shooting, we instantly clicked. There was no awkward “getting to know you” phase or warming up in front of the camera we spent the entire session laughing, talking, and having an incredible time together. To top it all off, they even sent me home with fresh eggs from their chickens, which, if you know me, is absolutely the way to my heart.
Not long after their engagement session, Emma and Paul reached out to ask if I photographed weddings. I was genuinely honored that they thought of me to capture such an important day in their lives, and saying yes was an easy decision. Their wedding took place on the same property where we had photographed their engagement session, surrounded by the people they love most and, of course, their chickens and ducks. With the bluest sky overhead and the peaceful beauty of their property all around us, it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting.
Their ceremony was heartfelt, emotional, and filled with moments that perfectly reflected who they are as a couple. There were happy tears, genuine laughter, and one unforgettable moment when their ducks decided to follow me down the aisle and happily wander into a few of their shots lol. It was one of those unexpected moments that made everyone smile and added even more personality to an already unforgettable day. Watching Emma and Paul exchange vows surrounded by family, friends, and the life they have built together was incredibly special. Their wedding was a beautiful reminder that the best celebrations aren’t about perfection they’re about authenticity, love, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
